> DAY 1: Cairo

Arrival in Egypt, the Land of the Pharaohs. At Cairo International Airport you will be welcomed by your representative, then escorted to your hotel.

> DAY 2: Cairo

Morning visit to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, which includes the world’s largest collection of Pharaonic artifacts and the treasures of Tutankhamen’s tomb. Then drive to Old Cairo to visit Al Moallaka Church (Hanging Church) and Ben Ezra Synagogue. After lunch, visit to the Great Pyramids of Giza and the enigmatic Sphinx, then proceed to Khan El Khalili, the world’s largest 13th century oriental bazaar. (B, L)

> DAY 3: Cairo, Aswan, Kom Ombo, Edfu

Morning flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, you will be escorted to your cruise ship where you will spend the next 4 days, 3 nights. You will visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries with the Unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Philae. View Kitchener’s Island botanical garden and the Agha Khan Mausoleum by felucca. After lunch sail to Kom Ombo where you will visit the Ptolemaic Temple of Sobek and Horus. Then sail to Edfu and overnight. (B, L, D)  

> DAY 4: Edfu, Luxor

Travel by horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus, the falcon-god, (237 B.C.) considered the best-preserved temple in Ancient Egypt and the second largest after the Temple of Karnak. Sail to Esna, passing through Esna Lock, and continue sailing towards Luxor and overnight. (B, L, D)

> DAY 5: Luxor

Visit the West Bank necropolis including the Valley of Kings, the Valley of Queens, the funerary temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon. Overnight in Luxor. (B, L, D)

> DAY 6: Luxor, Cairo

After breakfast, visit Karnak and Luxor Temples, a centuries-old city of pylons, hypostyle halls, colossal statues, shrines and obelisks. Disembarkation and transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo you will be met and escorted to your hotel. In the evening enjoy the Sound and Light Show at the Pyramids. > DAY 7: Cairo, Athens

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo International Airport for your flight to Athens. Upon arrival in Athens your private transfer will take you to your hotel. (B)

> DAY 8: Athens

Meet your licensed, English-speaking guide in your hotel lobby. Leave together on this walking tour for the entrance to the Athens Acropolis. Visit the Acropolis and its timeless temples of Parthenon, Erectheion and Athena Nike. You will descend to the hill of the Pnyx, the area used in Classical Athens as the meeting place for the democratic assembly. Then, a short climb up to the Hill of Philopappus brings you to the imposing Roman period funeral monument and extensive views of Athens and Piraeus. On the Acropolis walkway you will pass the Roman period Odeion of Herodes Atticus, which is still used as a summer venue for open-air concerts and theatrical performances, en route to the new Acropolis Museum where you will see the timeless sculptures and art work from the Acropolis. Following your museum visit, you enter the historical Plaka area from the Lysikratis monument side. You will have time for shopping and lunch (not included) and then proceed to see the Ancient Agora, Thission, Stoa of Attalus, Hadrian's Library, and the picturesque Tower of the Winds. From the Monastiraki area of Plaka you will go by metro to the posh neighborhood of Kolonaki en route to Lycabettus Hill.  A short funicular ride will transport you to the top of the hill where you will enjoy panoramic views of the city of Athens, the Acropolis and the blue sea. End your tour at Syntagma Square were you will enjoy the changing of the guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. (B)

> DAY 9: Athens, Crete

Private transfer to the Athens airport for your flight to Crete. Upon arrival in Crete you will be transferred to your hotel. (B)

> DAY 10: Crete

Spend the day with a local who will share the history and culture of his island with you. Your tour begins on the road to Knossos Palace.  There you will explore one of the main centers of the Minoan Civilization, four millennia back.  Next you will visit the Archeological Museum of Heraklion, one of the most important museums of Greece, which has a strong focus on Minoan culture and history.  You will continue to see the city of Heraklion making stops at the Old Port, the Venetian Walls, the Municipal Market, the Castle or Koules, and museums, churches, fountains or shops of your preference.  (B)

> DAY 11-12: Crete

Enjoy two days to relax or explore as you choose. The island of Crete has its own tradition, a distinct character and an island dialect. Here you can enjoy vibrant cities and picturesque villages, rugged mountains and endless beaches, traditional cuisine, ancient sites, wine producing vineyards and olive-oil farms, and a local culture that is famous for its hospitality.  Crete is a wonderful island on which to enjoy the many sides of Greece! (B)

> DAY 13: Departure

Transfer to the Heraklion airport for your flight to Athens where you will meet international flight. (B)
