Itinerary and Overviews:
Arrival in Cairo Friday or Sunday depending on your

DAY 1: (Cairo)
Arrival in the Land of the Pharaohs. At Cairo International
airport you will be welcomed by our representative, and ,
then escorted to your hotel.

DAY 2: (Cairo, Luxor)
After breakfast, transfer to Cairo airport for your flight
to Luxor. Upon arrival transfer to your luxury cruise ship
for a 5 days 4 nights cruise. Visit the Temple of Karnak & the Temple
of Luxor; visit the West Bank including Valley of the Kings,
Valley of the Queens, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the
Colossi of Memnon. Overnight in Luxor.

DAY 3: (Luxor, Edfu)
Early morning sailing to Edfu via Esna, overnight in Edfu.

DAY 4: (Edfu,
Kom Ombo, Aswan)
Travel by horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus, the
falcon-god, considered the best-preserved ancient temple in
Egypt and the second largest after the Temple of Karnak.
Sail to Kom Ombo where you will visit the Ptolemaic Temple
of Sobek and Haroeris. Then sail to Aswan and overnight.

DAY 5: (Aswan - Optional Sound & Light)
Visit the Aswan High Dam, the Granite Quarries with the
Unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Philae. Sail on board a
felucca, a typical Egyptian sailboat and view Kitchner's
Island Botanical garden and the Agha Khan Mausoleum.
Overnight in Aswan. Evening, optional Sound & Light Show.

DAY 6: (Aswan, Abu Simbel Tour, Cairo)
After breakfast, disembarkation, transfer to airport for
your tour to Abu Simbel. Visit the colossal Temple of
Ramses II and the temple of his beloved Queen Nefertari,
both temples carved out of a hillside beside the Nile in the
13th century BC. Transfer back to the airport for your
flight to Cairo, upon arrival you be escorted to your hotel.
Evening:
optional Sound & Light Show at the Pyramids. (B)

DAY 7: (Cairo - Tour)
Start your day with a guided tour of the Egyptian Museum
where you will find artifacts of the Pharaonic era and the
treasures of king Tutankhamen’s tomb. Drive to Old Cairo,
where early Judaism and Christianity flourished in Egypt.
Visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue and Saint Sergius Church. After
lunch, drive to the Citadel of Saladin and visit Mohamed Ali
Alabaster Mosque. Enjoy a walking tour of the largest 13th
century covered oriental market, Khan El Khalili Bazaar,
overnight at hotel. (B, L)

DAY 8: (Cairo, Sharm El Sheikh)
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for
your flight to Sharm El Sheikh, savor your dine-around
dinner, and overnight at your hotel. (B, D)

DAY 9: (Sharm El Sheikh)
A day of sun and sea to plan as you like; (optional: diving
or snorkeling tour in Ras Mohammed underwater nature reserve
or sign up for a trek to a Bedouin Camp in the desert). (B,

DAY 10: (Sharm El Sheikh, St Catherine)
After breakfast. Depart via air-conditioned vehicle to St
Catherine's Monastery, Situated at the base of the mountain
where Moses received the ten commandments, St Catherine's
Monastery is one of the most famous in the world. Built
between 527 and 565 AD, it is believed to be built around
Moses' Burning Bush. During your visit you will see the
Greek Orthodox Church, the icons of worship, and the famous
Mosaic of Transfiguration.
Return
to Sharm El Sheikh
for overnight.

DAY 11: (Sharm El Sheikh)
A free day to enjoy the beaches of Sharm El Sheikh.

DAY 12: (Sharm El Sheikh, Cairo)
After breakfast, return flight from Sharm El Sheikh to
Cairo. Upon arrival enjoy a scenic drive that will take
you to the Pyramids & Sphinx of Giza, which have stood for
the last 5000 years. Complete your visit at Giza with a tour
of the Solar Boat Museum. After lunch, continue to the
ancient city of Memphis, the first capital of United Upper
and Lower Egypt, then visit Sakkara, site of the Step
Pyramid of Zoser. (B, L)

DAY 13: (Departure)
After breakfast, transfer to
Cairo International Airport for your departure flight.

Egypt is most
easily reached by international air to Cairo. A valid
passport is required for US and Canadian citizens to travel to Egypt.
Travelers can obtain a renewable 30-day tourist visa at any port of
entry, except at Taba and Rafah, for approximately
$16 fee, payable in U.S. dollars. Visitors arriving overland must obtain
a visa prior to arrival. For additional entry requirements, U.S.
